I was born and raised in Liverpool England and from an early age wanted to do something in the medical field. Getting into Medical School was almost unheard of for a female at that time so I decided to train to become a Physiotherapist. I moved to Canada in 1975 to take up a position as a Physio at the QVH. I intended to stay for a year and move on but somehow I never left ! I fell in love with the Mountains and Revelstoke. I married Don Manson in 1979 and we have 3 children and one Grandchild. I joined the Revelstoke Hospital Auxiliary Society when I retired and have served as president for the past 2 years.
I have represented the Auxiliary on the board of the Revelstoke and District Health Foundation for the past five years .
